Our organisation

HDAA provides assessment services for human services and healthcare organisations throughout Australia. Our assessment services are recognised as being of high quality. We are accredited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) and the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).

Established in 2007 and a proud Australian business, our assessors and our Brisbane based office staff, believe the assessment process should have a significant and positive effect on the delivery of services. We know that a good assessment partner will make a positive difference in the lives of people who are supported by human services and healthcare organisations and that is what drives us.

We work with organisations to reduce risk in the delivery of services, improving their quality to benefit the people who access the services and their broader community.

As an HDAA client you will experience the importance we place on positive and supportive relationships. We know that our judgments during an assessment are important, we acknowledge and reinforce areas that receive positive evaluations and constructively work with you on areas where there is an opportunity for improvement.

All our assessors have extensive experience working in human services or healthcare. Most have worked at senior levels in these sectors.

Integrity – Core to who we are

For our assessments to be constructive and supportive they need to be conducted with integrity. We place a great deal of importance on integrity, believing that reliable, objective assessments should be a fair reflection of the evidence, not subject to bias or conflict of interest of any kind. Our Impartiality Committee helps ensure our assessments have a high level of integrity with independent members sitting on the Committee to provide an objective perspective on our assessment practices.

Independence and impartiality statement

Our Impartiality Committee critically reviews our assessment processes with reference to our Impartiality and Independence Statement. They confirm that HDAA meets our obligation to not allow financial or other considerations impact our decision making process. In addition, we ensure our assessment related decision making is consistent and impartial through the peer review of all reports and a collegiate feedback process.

If there is a conflict of interest related to an assessment and its decision making, any person affected through a conflict of interest will not be involved.
