Allied Health, Community, Medical Specialist, Community Mental Health and private Dental Practices are all within scope of the NSQPCH Standards. Certification to the NSQPCH Standards is voluntary. Providers may choose to seek accreditation for a number of reasons including quality assurance for consumers and funding bodies, to support grant and tender applications and to gain a competitive advantage.

The Commission will be releasing the NSQPCHS Scheme Rules in mid 2022. Until then, providers can choose to apply for provisional accreditation now by being assessed to the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards (NSQHSS) Second Edition standards, on the condition that an assessment to NSQPCHS Standards occurs within eighteen months of the Scheme’s introduction.
