The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has developed a consultation paper for National Safety and Quality Mental Health (NSQMH) Standards for Community Managed Organisations, which is now available on the Commission’s website. Please note that the new standards are separate from the existing National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS) which we currently assess.
The new standards are being designed to provide safety and quality assurance for community mental health service users, and best practice guidance for service providers and developers.
Consultation is open until Wednesday 30 June 2021, and stakeholders are invited to provide feedback via an online survey, written submission or participation in a focus group.
