The Department of Social Services (formally FaHCSIA) has confirmed that a series of Corporate Governance workshops facilitated by Australian Catholic University held around the country since July are now being extended to 29 November 2013.
The workshops are targeted at board members and CEOs of Australian Disability Enterprises, National Disability Advocacy Program funded providers, and organisations that are moving to the National Disability Insurance Scheme funded service provision.
Strong and effective Corporate Governance underpins an organisation’s strategic direction, business capability and planning, financial management, organisational development, and performance management, to mention just some of the key areas of governance.
Organisations are encouraged to nominate a maximum of two attendees, including the CEO and a Board Member, to attend one session.
If organisations want to attend but have not registered yet, they can email Rosana Hochstrasser at the Australian Catholic University with their expressions of interest, number of participants and geographical location.
